The Bookeye^® 4 V2 Kiosk overhead book scanner will be exhibited by Image Access during the annual meeting of the Association for Medical Library Association (AGMB) at booth 20 at the Charité in Berlin. From September 18 to 18 2013, many interested participants are expected at this year´s conference. The annual meeting of the AGMB promotes the medical library and information science faculties. The exhibition sponsored in connection with the conference provides a valuable communication platform for medical librarians.

The 34th session of the Working Group of the Special Libraries Association will be held 11 - 13 September at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel. Within the focus of the conference "Innovations and strategic turnarounds in special libraries" Image Access will demonstrate the overhead book scanner Bookeye^® 4 V2 at booth10 in the exhibition area. In keeping with the conference theme, Image Access will present a lecture "Bookeye^® 4 Kiosk - innovative scanning solution for self-service" on September 12th von 15:15 to 15:35 in the lecture hall A.

On the 9th and 10th of September, Image Access will participate in the Goobi User Group meeting at the university library in Kassel. This year attendees will present and discuss a variety of practical applications and experience with digitization projects implementing Goobi.
Highlights at the 2013 annual meeting include the coordination of development requests within the Goobi community and the first annual balance sheet results of the association Goobi e.V.. The open source, platform independent and license-free software package Goobi enables digitization projects in large and small libraries, archives, museums and documentation centers. The software is already used in more than 40 libraries, archives and museums.

The 17th GBV Network Conference GBV will be held August 27-28, 2013 at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg. "The Bookeye 4 overhead book scanner - an integral part of Goobi & Co" is the theme of the Image Access lecture on August 27th from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. in room 115. The self-service book scanner Bookeye 4^® V2 Kiosk and the high end book scanner predestined for digitization projects, Bookeye^® 4 V2 Professional ; will be demonstrated at the Image Access booths 2 + 3. In addition to these two book scanners, participants will have the opportunity to see the A2 flatbed scanner WideTEK^® 25-600 in action. Interested visitors can also learn more about the solutions and developments of Goobi from the company Intranda.
